What is Connect Web?
Connect Web is our website system for churches. It includes an easily editable website with your choice of theme or fully custom design. Connect Web also includes advanced email, blogging, Google Analytics, and an events calendar for your website. We include access to web consulting time at one-third off the normal rates when you are a Connect Web subscriber.
What about podcasting and giving software?
In addition to a website, we also include Connect Podcast, our church podcasting system that includes software, hosting, and a sermon player. Included with our Pro Plan is Connect Giving, our church giving and event registration system. It allows users to set one-time or recurring donations using Paypal or other payment methods. Users can also register and pay for church events on the registration page.
Why is Connect Web priced so low? Is there anything missing?
We design our products for small to medium sized churches, so we understand budgetary limitations. We believe we have struck the proper balance -- our pricing is low, while still providing personal phone and email support, top-notch servers, and the ability to continue developing quality software. What if we need help? Do you offer phone support?
Unlike most companies, we actually prefer talking on the phone. We feel that instead of sending many emails back and forth, we can solve the problem or answer as many questions as you have in one phone call. We also offer email support in addition to phone support.
Theme vs. Custom Design -- What does that mean?
To keep costs down, we offer website themes we have developed for only $100. These are pre-built designs with 2-3 color options available for each. Custom design means just that -- We will create a custom website design for your church and build it into our CMS system. We keep the costs down to make our service as affordable as possible without large up-front fees.
What is a CMS?
A CMS is a content management system that allows users to login and edit their websites with the ease of a Word document. You can login, add text, images or other features, and publish the changes instantly. There is no longer any need for additional software like Dreamweaver or the need to touch HTML code.
What about hosting? Is that included? Will our site load quickly?
The prices for Connect Web include fully managed hosting on our own servers. We take the greatest care in making sure our servers are not overloaded, and do not oversell our resources like most hosting companies. Will our site be SEO friendly?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the practice that assures your site will be indexed by Google and other search engines easily. Our website system includes many SEO features to optimize your content.
Who can update our church website?
With your account we give you one login that will allow you to edit your church website. If you would like more, you can contact us, and we will create new accounts with varying permissions that meet your specific needs.
Can we add new features and elements to our site in the future?
Our system is the best of both worlds. It has CMS features built in for easily editing content, but it is not a closed system. That means you can embed content or add in custom software or scripts in the future without limitation.
What if we already have an existing site? How can we make the transition seamless?
We have transitioned countless websites for churches and clients in the past. We set up your new website at a temporary address while you transition over the content. This does not affect your current site. Until you decide to change over your hosting to us, your old site is still active. There will be no downtime or interruption of service, and you are under no pressure to launch your new site. We work on your time table.
Can we ever change our site design? How easy is it?
Yes, you can change the site design. That is the great part of our CMS system. You can change your website design easily to any of our other themes for only a $50 one-time fee. You can also have us design a custom website at our custom design pricing. We can then integrate it into our CMS and update your site design. Our system is built for the future with your needs in mind.
What if we decide to leave? What happens to our site?
In the case you choose to leave, you will have the option of keeping your site rather than having it be deleted as with any other church website company. We offer a buyout option for this scenario. Please visit our Terms of Service page for the details.
How long does it take to deploy a new site for our church?
For themes it generally takes about 5-8 days to deploy a church website so it can be launched. For custom web design it usually takes 3-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the response times from the customer.
What about pricing? What if our church grows?
Our pricing for Connect Web is currently set at $30/mo for our Basic Plan, and $40/mo for our Pro Plan. Connect Web pricing is not based on church size, so you don't need to worry about a price increase due to change in church size.
